The DIAPASON one-year observation period just started!

Starting from September, 2013 a year-round database of in situ and vertically resolved observations of Saharan dust events is collected to guide the improvement of the current EU methodology of Saharan dust detection and  quantification towards the final ‘DIAPASON Methodology’.
During this one-year, two intensive observation periods will be selected involving all interested DIAPASON network participants.
